In an 1863 letter that sold through Christie's for $13,750 in 2009, Charles Dickens's words are reminiscent of Tiny Tim's. "God bless us all this coming Christmas, and give us Christmas thoughts!" he wrote, and playfully signed the letter "Wilmot," the name of a character he played in a theater production.
