"La palabra" Altruismo ', deriva del latín " Alter ', " los demás ', Fue usada en el siglo 19 POR AUGUSTE COMTE, uno de los padres de la sociología y el fundador del positivismo. El altruismo, según Comte, implica la eliminación de deseo egoísta y de egocentrismo, así como llevar una vida dedicada al bienestar de los demás."
