Louis Albert Aublet was a born January 18, 1851 in Paris, France.

Trained in the workshops of Claudius Jacquand and Jean-Leon Gerome, he successfully exhibited at the Salon in 1873, where he obtained an honorable mention in 1879 and then a third class medal in 1880.
International recognition is equally striking: he won several awards at international events, including a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1889. It is decorated with the Legion of Honor in 1890.
On his first trip in 1881, his discovery of the East has a strong influence on his artistic inspiration. His visit to Constantinople gave a direction to his Orientalist paintings. The "Female Turkish baths" was a great success and contributed to its reputation. He was the president of the Society of Artists in Tunis.
