Strauch, despite his well-known name, popular persona and having appeared in four films previously, makes his screen acting debut in THE ENDLESS FLIGHT, "Eduardo had never acted before but was not nervous one bit about playing the character" said director Ortiz, "I think channelling his real-life experiences into a part that wasn't too far from himself really made the transition easier... and far more interesting for the film". Strauch is best known in real-life as one of the actual Andes plane crash survivors. His odyssey 72-days in the South American mountains has led him to appear in the documentaries ALIVE: 20 YEARS LATER, STRANDED and I AM ALIVE: SURVIVNG THE ANDES PLANE CRASH. More recently he has also been touring the world with conferences and talks as a motivational speaker on his experiences.
